Monstera deliciosa is a tropical evergreen vine native to Central America. It’s famous for its large, perforated leaves that give it a bold, decorative look. Indoors, it can grow up to 6–8 feet tall when supported by a moss pole or trellis. Outdoors in tropical climates, it can become much larger.
It thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers well-draining soil. The splits and holes in the leaves (called fenestrations) are not just ornamental—they help the plant resist strong winds and heavy rain in its natural jungle habitat.
